Jessica and I recently took a trip to England, primarily to visit Oxford. On the way, we spent a fun night and morning in Cambridge with our friends Eric and Nicki. Since Eric is a Cambridge student, we were able to get inside the various colleges and check them out.
This is a spur-of-the-moment HDR shot I took while looking across a quadrangle at the Trinity College library, and it's one of those shots where everything came together to produce just the right mood. Stateliness, elegance, and the vibrancy of a beautiful sunny day. So much of Cambridge's architecture is just as beautiful; for now, this shot will have to suffice. Interestingly, right after I snapped the 3 exposures, we were accosted by someone from across the quad, and despite Eric's protestations, we were kicked out of that area of Trinity! This picture is therefore all the more sweet in virtue of its being a forbidden glimpse into college life. |
