Well, this old man likes classical music. I was listening to the first part of Mendelssohn's Elijah yesterday and was moved to tears by the incredible way he melds melodies, harmonies, rhythms, etc. with powerful lyrics. 'Help, Lord!' was terrific, and the widow of Zarephath's terror at being sought out by the prophet was powerful.
