Inspired by:Machu Piccu, The Power Of Man
We are taught from a young age to believe in the power of our mind … “anything is possible if you put your mind to it” my parents used to tell me (as I am sure yours did too). As a child, I thought this was just a cheesy cliché used to encourage me to finish my homework or motivate me to play my very best in a soccer match when my team was being annihilated by our opponents with only 10 minutes left in the game. However, this past summer I went on an adventure of a lifetime to Peru with some friends and became inspired to truly believe in the power of our minds and in the good that man can create in this world. After months of planning and training, we hiked the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, which was a feat unto itself to complete the hike for me personally, but the moment we came off of the Trail and arrived at one the Seven Wonders of the World (where I took this picture), I saw for my own eyes what man was able to create with the power of their mind: a majestic city on the top of an Andean mountain without any modern technology. As we toured around Machu Picchu and stood in awe at the awesomeness of its creation and learned how Machu Picchu was built by the Incan Empire, for the first time in a long time truly believed that anything is possible … even if that “anything” involves lugging 5000lb stones up a 14,000ft mountain and building a city. What will you achieve?
