It was the most interesting thing- on Karkar Island in Papua New Guinea, animals like chickens and pigs were pampered and treated almost like family until it was time to slaughter them. Dogs and Cats on the other hand, were kicked, beaten and were not fed. Taken while watching a SingSing cultural dance, Papua New Guinea 2009
