Every Winter I try to build a sculpture from snow... usually in the form of a snowman. Whenever I can do this I have found myself scavenging for all of the necessary parts (hat, scarf, carrot, etc). As a result, I thought a snowman-making kit would be a fun creation to make to give as Christmas gifts... and to inspire the recipients to make a snowman. I made the box from laminated birch. The coal, buttons, and carrot are hand-made from porcelain and have small rods attached the the backs to insert them into the snow. It also has a real corn-cob pipe, a wool scarf, and a collapsable silk hat.
