I took this photo in the Elizabeth Gamble Garden in Palo Alto, California. Bees are fascinating creatures whose societies are really superorganisms in their own right, exhibiting uncanny intelligence. We could learn a lot from eusocial insects about how to cooperate for the good of the whole. See more here:
