Does It Inspire You?
I made this scrapbook page to commemorate the summer of 2008, when I interned with Lomography in NYC. My favorite part is the supersampler shot of my brother making faces at the Siren Festival at Coney Island. But there's also my first trip to Governor's Island, with my buddy Lawrence. And it was the summer of Olafur Eliasson's waterfalls along the East River. And the first summer we owned a house on Long Beach Island. And The Dark Knight came out and we talked about how good it was for hours afterwards. And I saw Ted Leo and the Pharmacists at Clinton Castle, and went to the Whitney for the first time, and got sent on a photo-taking trip through Greenpoint and Williamsburg during which I found an encouraging scrap of cardboard. One of the best summers ever, and I think the scrapbook captures all that in two explosive pages.
